I love the beach and country music ... and coffee!

Corey has been a coach at CrossFit First Down since the beginning. At first as a part-time coach and then as a full-time coach starting in January 2017. In March of 2019, Corey's long time dream of owning gym came true, when he bought CFFD. Corey has had a passion for strength training and conditioning since high school. His love of basketball led him to Colby-Sawyer College where he was a 4 year starter, and two year captain. Corey interned at Dartmouth College's strength program during his time in college. In 2013 Corey completed his  bachelors degree in Exercise Sports and Science.

Corey was introduced to CrossFit in the fall of 2010, you could often find him in his garage or basement gym following a CF workout. He also became passionate about Olympic Weightlifting, he competed in two Olympic weightlifitng meets in the Men's 77kg weight class.

Corey is passionate about helping every member achieve their goals, whether that is to become stronger, healthier or just have a better quality of life. He believes that strength training and exercise are one of the most important things you can do to maintain a healthy life. He loves being a coach and considers himself lucky to get to do what he loves everyday.
