Keidy first joined CrossFit in Houston, TX in May of 2010. Even though she had been a college-level athlete she was immediately humbled by the challenges that CrossFit presented. Her first struggle was how to get out of bed the next morning! She became stubbornly dedicated to overcoming her weaknesses and replacing them with new goals.
While her immediate attraction to CrossFit was the competitive nature of the sport, she began to notice the physical and psychological transformation not only in herself, but in her fellow CrossFit athletes, and it sparked her interest in becoming a coach.
After earning her Level 1 Certification and moving back East Keidy coached at CrossFit Providence, where she went to Regionals for the first time as a member of their team.
Keidy decided to move back to her home-town to open CrossFit Martha's Vineyard where she spent two years growing as a Trainer and Owner while developing a successful box. In 2013 her desire to train and compete on a larger stage helped make the difficult decision to sell the gym and pursue her training on the mainland. She became Head Coach at No Risk CrossFit in Smithfield, RI and trained at CrossFit Route 1 in Melrose, MA. In 2014 Keidy made her second appearance at Regionals, but this time as an individual. She finished in 12th place overall.
Keidy is now looking to use her experience to help others reach their full potential, to raise the standards to which we hold ourselves and to lead a community of dedicated people to personal victory.
